Contractor adds acres to site at River Ridge
Floyds Knobs general contractor AML Inc. has bought an additional 5.1 acres at River Ridge Commerce Center, a 6,000-acre complex that is being redeveloped as an office and industrial park.
In March, AML bought a 7.3-acre site in the Southern Indiana park for $294,400. AML will pay about $40,000 per acre, or a total of $204,000, for the 5.1-acre expansion to that site, according to a news release.
The 5.1-acre tract is located in the southern portion of River Ridge, immediately north of the Gate 2 entrance road. The original 7.3-acre tract is south of that road.
Construction of a 100,000-square-foot building on the 7.3-acre location will begin in the next few weeks, the release said. That building will have a truck-loading area in the rear of the facility and 26- to 30-foot ceilings.
A second building, to be located on the 5.1-acre site, will be 20,000 to 50,000 square feet. Construction on that building will begin within 24 months, the release said.
